Disadvantage Subsidy Funding: Changes for 2010/11

From 1st April, there will be some amendments to the rollout of DSF.

Click on this link for the DSF Power Point presentation outlining some of those important changes.

Disadvantage Subsidy Funding:

For the year 2009-10 the Cluster Development Manager will lead on the Disadvanatage Subsidy Funding.  This year the programme is a small pilot and will lead to 5 times the level of funding in 2010-11.

Disadvantage Subsidy Funding (DSF) will enable schools to support identified pupils to take part in out of school hours activities who do not currently benefit due to financial and other barriers.

Eligibility:  Free School Meals is a mandatory criteria. However, a school can, using local knowledge about a child, select an additional four criteria.

The CDMs from each Cluster have got together to produce a briefing pack for schools that provide information about both the pilot and the citywide roll out in 2010.
